DeerRun Treadmill Review UK: Are DeerRun Walking Pads Worth It?

An honest DeerRun treadmill review for UK buyers: which walking pad or treadmill to choose, real prices, the concerns to know about, and how to buy safely.

DeerRun sells some of the cheapest walking pads and folding treadmills in the UK, with prices starting at about £129. It calls itself the world’s number one home treadmill brand, and its range now runs from tiny under-desk pads to an 18% incline running treadmill.

Low prices are only half the story, though. We’ve researched the UK range, independent reviews and owner feedback to answer the real question: should you buy one, and if so, which?

Our verdict: DeerRun walking pads are good value for walking at a desk or in front of the TV, in a ground-floor room, if you use the 60-day trial to check the machine suits you. Be cautious if you live upstairs, want to run regularly, or need dependable after-sales support. Independent reviews and Trustpilot both flag weaknesses there.

What to know before you buy

Customer service: An area to consider

DeerRun UK receives mixed feedback on customer service. While some customers report being very happy with their treadmill, others highlight opportunities for improvement in response times, delivery coordination and refund or collection arrangements. Experiences vary, and many owners are satisfied with the equipment itself. To enjoy the best possible buying experience, we recommend checking the latest customer feedback and confirming delivery, warranty and returns arrangements before ordering.

Treat specification claims with care

Independent analysts at OCDevel report that a teardown of the Q2 Urban found a brushed motor, despite “brushless” marketing, with continuous power well below the advertised peak horsepower. Noise figures also vary between DeerRun’s own listings. We’d rely on independent reviews rather than headline claims.

Noise and upstairs rooms

TechRadar’s review of the DeerRun Q1 Classic found it fine for a ground-floor home office, but too loud for calls, and it sent vibration through timber floorboards upstairs. If you live in a flat, put any walking pad on a thick rubber mat and walk at a moderate pace. See our guide to treadmills for flats.

Ignore the “was” prices

DeerRun shows large reductions on most models. Judge each machine on its current price and compare it against similar pads from other brands. Some independent analysts describe these original prices as unrealistic.

Delivery and returns

DeerRun ships from Birmingham. Its UK site says home service (installation, repairs and returns) covers only some West Midlands postcodes (B, CV, WS, WV and DY). Elsewhere, check how a return or repair would be collected before you order.

How to buy a DeerRun safely

  • Use the 60-day risk-free trial. DeerRun offers a 60-day trial and a 2-year warranty on its UK models. Test the machine properly in the first few weeks, at the speeds and incline you’ll actually use.
  • Keep the box and packaging until the trial ends, in case you need to return it.
  • Pay by credit card. For purchases between £100 and £30,000, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act can give you extra protection if something goes wrong.
  • Check your floor and ceiling. Use our ceiling height calculator for treadmills, and a mat for upstairs rooms.
  • Register the warranty and note the serial number when it arrives.

DeerRun vs other walking pad brands

DeerRun is usually cheaper than Kingsmith WalkingPad and similar to or cheaper than UREVO. Kingsmith costs more but has longer belts, handrails on some models and a stronger reputation. Compare them side by side in our best walking pads UK guide and our best treadmills under £300.

Frequently asked questions

Are DeerRun treadmills any good?

For the price, many owners find them good value for walking, and TechRadar rated the Q1 Classic 5 out of 5 for value. The weaker points are noise, disputed motor claims and mixed customer service reviews, so use the 60-day trial.

Where are DeerRun treadmills shipped from in the UK?

DeerRun’s UK site says orders ship from Birmingham, with a home service for installation, repairs and returns in some West Midlands postcodes.

Can you run on a DeerRun walking pad?

What warranty do DeerRun treadmills have in the UK?

DeerRun’s UK site lists a 2-year warranty on all models and a 60-day risk-free trial.
