Inspire Ministries Oak Meditation stool

My stools are handcrafted using English oak from sustainable sources often from local woodland. For the finish I have used Danish oil which allows the beauty of the grain to shine through. The legs are attached with a set of good quality, brass plated, steel hinges that will give many years of use. The legs are also angled outwards so that they are not able to fold in on themselves. The edges are all gently rounded so there are no sharp corners. The stool is designed to let you sit in a position that keeps the spine and back straight. This enables the user to meditate in a comfortable position and with the body relaxed so that the mind is free to focus without distractions. Body weight is supported by the stool rather than the knees and this allows for long periods of uninterrupted meditation without discomfort and more importantly distraction. The folding legs also allow easy transport and storage. The dimensions of the stool are: The seat is 46 cm or 18 inches in length. The width of the Top is 15cm or 6 inches. length of the Top is 48cm.
